The Greenwich real estate market has started with a bang! There were 60 buyers who signed contracts or removed contingencies from sales contracts in January, with 15 of those properties priced between $3-7.5MM. So that indicates that 75% of those newly contracted properties were listed < $3,000,000, and 25% were over $3,000,000! That’s an awesome start to the year!
Typically homes that find buyers in January sell for the highest prices per SF of the entire year. Maybe it’s because there’s less inventory, maybe it’s because buyers are anticipating career bonuses or reaping the rewards of Wall Street’s 2017 bull market, but whatever the reason, Greenwich home sales are off to a great start.
